An update

I've come to realize (again) that there's no big epiphany that's going to come along and kick me into gear, so I'm going to do whatever I can to get to where I want to go, however stupidly/lamely/annoyingly/whatever-ly it starts out. To that effect, I'm just banging out what sounds good to me as far as "Icebreaker" goes, in whatever medium, and I will be relying on feedback to augment it into whatever state suits BOTH the story I want to tell and the story that people will enjoy and want to come back to. I've laid down an outline of the fictional universe, and I'll probably be better off commissioning artists to work with me on art, creature, and vehicle design.

I am an actor. Despite all the things that have happened in my life, despite me giving in to pressures that really WEREN'T that significant, I've successfully started living the only thing that has ever sufficed as my dream job. I'm registered at SA Casting, I'm a member and performer of the Noarlunga Theater Company, I've had a small part in one international short film (bit of an odd one though lol), I am performing in a stage show in April, and until recently I was going to have a significant role in a b-grade horror movie.
Some friends and I are going to start our own production company in Adelaide. There's currently a shortage of movie/tv studios here, so I think we will soon be able to step up and fill the gap.

Long-awaited update

So here I am again, awake at the odd hours of Tuesday morning, the day of my brother-in-law's birthday... His present will be a little late, but he won't mind. Just like me, he doesn't worry too much about the gift side of things.

So far over the past few months of my interesting yet arduous life my hairstyle has changed (again), my car (though still an old-bomb) is still putting along just as fine as last year, albeit the need for new brake pads, which will be obtained this week. I'm in the process of saving up for a new engine to go in my sister's ford laser, cos depending on a few factors, I might buy it from her for myself. Even with the lack of motor-lidge it pwns my car anyday.

Finally I've secured a bit of extra work, so that dream is a bit closer, plus I will finally be able to get my Xbox 360 up to standard (I just had to get the cheaper one...).

And last but not least, I'm no longer single! I've often toyed with people as to my true relationship status (sorry Luke J! I know I'm an evil b*tard) but I'm here to fess up that I am in an affair with a gorgeous gal with an infectious smile, and a taste in music so great as to rival and compliment my own.

Projects chugging along nicely, so I made a challenge for myself: by the end of March I will be a regular street performer in Rundle Mall! Among my for-now limited repertoire are Human Statue, Robot Statue, Shopping Android, Robot Clown, and a bronze version of the Human Statue with a pig face to match the famous bronze pigs (you know, the bunch of pig sculptures at the Rundle St end of the mall? yep). I'm thinking of something to match the Silver Balls, so any suggestions would be grouse.

In other news, I might be in for a promotion! One of my duty managers might be leaving soon, so provided I can get my forklift license and first-aid certificate soon, I might be in with a chance, so they tell me. Mmmm... manager salary...
